When Mike Tyson learned that he would be facing Jake Paul, he immediately made known his demands: $1 billion for a single fight, take it or leave it.
Working on a Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight
Tyson was informed that a fight between himself and Jake Paul was going to be booked on his podcast, Hotboxin with Mike Tyson. Tyson responded by claiming that he and Jake had been out all night partying.
Since they had been smoking together for a very long time and had recently been using shrooms (psychedelic mushrooms), Mike would have known right away if there had been a quarrel.
He continued,
“I’ve only heard this from you people; I haven’t heard it from anyone else. Blue-eyed, blonde-haired guy s**t is what we need to buy, but it is quite expensive, therefore we need to find some more money, man.
I would battle him for $1 billion.
Recent Jake Paul Mischief
In the society we live in today, a fight between internet sensation Jake Paul and professional heavyweight Mike Tyson is not all that unlikely. Jake Paul recently challenged Vladimir Putin to a fight in the ring, asking why he wouldn’t fight a champion like Mike Tyson.
Jake Paul is infamous for making a small transition from hosting major boxing events like this one to the world of social media and podcasts. He faced off against Deji Olatunji, another well-known figure on social media, in his debut encounter earlier this year. Since then, he has been winning matches left and right.
The Legacy of Mike Tyson
Since retiring in 2005, Mike Tyson has only returned to the ring once for an exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr. that resulted in a draw. But let’s not overlook Mike Tyson’s incredible and wonderful journey over the years.
When he was no more than 20 years old, Mike defeated Trevor Berbick with ease to win his first-ever WBC Championship. By defeating Bonecrusher Smith, Tony Tucker, Pinklon Thomas, and Tyrell Biggs, he was able to unify the belts.
One of Tyson’s most cruel and swift victories came against Linear Heavyweight Champion Michael Spinks, who was knocked out in just 91 seconds. This is regarded as one of the fastest and most one-sided victories in history.
A time comes when stars must fall from the sky, and Mike Tyson’s did so shortly after his match against Buster Douglas in the Tokyo Ring. Mike Tyson had established himself as the face of the Heavyweight Championship.
After that defeat, chaos ensued, and a few years later Mike was sentenced to prison for being found guilty of rape, which further damaged his reputation and caused him to lose matches where it was clear that he would prevail.
But that is all behind us now. Due to his struggles with a cocaine addiction and the loss of a daughter, Mike Tyson seems to be a man who has seen and experienced life’s hardships.
